The Schneider A9L8F461 is a combined Type 2 + Type 3 3P&N surge arrestor with pluggable cartridge and part of the Acti 9 range of Schneider Surge Protection Devices (SPD’s) which protect electrical installations against both direct and indirect transient overvoltages. Complete with self-protection via an integrated back-up fuse this device requires no external disconnector thereby simplifying installation.

Delivering 20kA performance results in full compliance with BS EN 61643-11:2012+A11:2018 and ensures it offers a high discharge capacity to protect installations against energy surges from both direct and indirect lightning events. Features MOV and GDT surge arrestor technology and is suitable for use in TT, TN-S and TN-C-S networks with high prospective short-circuit fault currents.

With a combination of a clear green/red visual indicator for each pole in addition to remote alarming allowing real time system monitoring; this device provides a clear operating status for enhanced safety and rapid surge protection. Furthermore, the pluggable cartridge system allows both a safe and efficient replacement of damaged units.
