Space saving, bi-directional RCBO’s (Residual Current Breaker with Overcurrent Protection) from the latest Niglon Protego range. Unlike a traditional RCBO, these bidirectional RCBO’s can detect current flow in both directions. This bidirectional function therefore ensures optimum fault protection regardless of power source direction – vital for use in renewable energy systems and inverter-based installations. Comparable to the size of an MCB, each RCBO is B curve with a 6kA breaking capacity and 30mA earth leakage sensitivity. Type A RCBO’s are used to detect AC (Alternating Current) and pulsating DC (Direct Current) components.
